What is DA and PA in SEO?

DA usually refers to Domain Authority, while PA refers to Page Authority. They are comparative SEO metrics used to estimate how strong a domain or a specific page may be relative to others.

These scores are useful because they help with competitive benchmarking. If your DA or PA is materially weaker than the sites you are trying to outrank, that is a signal to review authority, content depth and internal linking.

They are also easy to misuse. DA and PA are not the same as Google rankings, and a stronger score does not guarantee better visibility. Search intent match, topical coverage, technical health and SERP click appeal still matter.

The best way to use DA and PA is as context. They help you understand whether your page has enough competitive weight, but they should sit beside content and conversion analysis, not replace it.
