A WordPress care plan is a monthly support and maintenance agreement for your website. For a fixed monthly fee I look after WordPress core, plugin and theme updates, backups, security and uptime monitoring, performance checks and a defined response when something breaks. It sits between paying for one-off emergency fixes and hiring a full development retainer.
What does a WordPress care plan include?
Aftercare Core covers monthly performance and security reporting, updates tested with rollback planning, preventative maintenance monitoring, performance optimisation and priority issue handling. Aftercare Core+ adds 2 hours of planned development time each month and ongoing technical SEO work.
How much does a WordPress care plan cost?
Aftercare Core is £195 a month and Aftercare Core+ is £395 a month, per website. If you also want measurement and conversion work, Aftercare Growth is £595 a month. The first month is covered by The First Month Promise: tell me within 30 days that it is not worth it and I refund it in full. After that the plan rolls monthly with 30 days notice.
Do I need a WordPress care plan?
If the site brings in enquiries, sales or bookings, a broken update or a missed security patch costs you money until someone notices. A care plan makes that someone me, on a schedule. If the site is a simple brochure you rarely change, you may be fine running the updates yourself, and I will tell you so on the walkthrough call.
