Cadiz Tapas
A hospitality website for Cadiz Tapas built to showcase the venue, support reservations and give the brand a warmer, more polished online presence.

Project overview
Cadiz Tapas is a Spanish restaurant and cocktail venue built around atmosphere, distinctive drinks and a menu inspired by travel, tradition and vibrant flavours.
The website needed to reflect that character while giving visitors an easy way to explore the venue, browse food and drink information and book a table without friction. It also needed to perform reliably across devices and support the business through stronger visibility online.
I designed and developed the platform as a WordPress restaurant website, combining a visually led front end, reservation integration, responsive delivery, technical optimisation and ongoing support through a long-term care plan. This kind of work is most closely aligned with custom WordPress development, technical SEO and WordPress care plans.
The challenge
Hospitality websites need to create the right atmosphere quickly, but they also need to make core actions like browsing and booking feel effortless. The challenge here was to present the restaurant’s identity in a polished way while keeping the user journey clear and the technical setup dependable.
The site needed to reflect the restaurant’s ambience and personality immediately.
Booking a table needed to be simple and friction-free for guests.
The site had to look and work well across devices, especially on mobile.
Security, caching, SSL and updates all needed to be handled properly after launch.
What was delivered
I designed and developed the website from concept through to launch, using WordPress and the Avada theme to create a structured and easy-to-manage hospitality platform. The project combined design, reservations, search visibility and ongoing technical support.
Created a focused multi-page site covering the core areas of the business.
Added seamless reservation functionality so guests could book directly through the site.
The website was built to perform cleanly across desktop and mobile devices.
Implemented SSL, caching and security enhancements to improve reliability and speed.
Search optimisation helped improve visibility and reach for the restaurant online.
Supported the team with content management advice and long-term WordPress maintenance.
Core functionality included
Built core pages including Home, About, Food & Drinks and Contact.
Guests can reserve tables directly through the website.
The platform adapts cleanly across different screen sizes.
The site was set up to support safer browsing and better trust.
Technical adjustments improved load times and overall site efficiency.
The website was structured to improve online visibility and discoverability.
The restaurant team received support for managing and updating website content.
Continued support keeps the site secure, current and optimised over time.
Key architecture decisions
The platform needed to combine visual hospitality presentation with a practical booking-focused structure. That meant building a site that could support inspiration and action at the same time, while still being easy for the team to manage after launch.
Technical setup was also a core part of the delivery. Performance, SSL, caching, security and maintainability all played a role in making sure the website could continue supporting the restaurant reliably beyond the initial build.
The site supports both venue discovery and direct reservation action.
The platform remains manageable for the team using familiar tools.
Performance, SSL and security considerations were handled as part of the build.
Ongoing care ensured the platform would remain useful after launch.
Results and outcomes
The result was a polished hospitality website that better reflects the character of Cadiz Tapas restaurant Dartford while supporting bookings, stronger visibility and a smoother user experience. The business now has a more reliable and more engaging digital presence to support customer discovery and ongoing operations.
The site captures more of the venue’s atmosphere and offering online.
OpenTable integration makes table booking simpler for guests.
Responsive delivery helps the site perform more reliably across devices.
SSL, caching and security improvements support a more dependable platform.
SEO work helps the restaurant reach a wider audience online.
Continued care ensures the website stays current, secure and optimised.
Technology used
The website was built with WordPress and Avada, with OpenTable integration, responsive front-end delivery, SSL, caching, security improvements, SEO support and ongoing maintenance through a WordPress Care Plan.
This work is especially relevant to custom WordPress development, technical SEO and ongoing care plans for hospitality businesses.
