Mr Foggs • House of Botanicals
A bespoke WordPress site created to reflect the venue’s rich visual identity while supporting bookings, discovery and a stronger hospitality brand experience online.

Project overview
Mr Fogg’s House of Botanicals is a London cocktail venue built around storytelling, atmosphere and the adventurous world of Phileas J. Fogg.
The digital challenge was to translate that sense of character into a landing page that felt immersive, visually distinctive and easy to use. The site needed to do more than display venue details. It had to act as a polished first impression of the brand and encourage visitors to book, explore and engage.
I developed the landing page as a visually led, conversion-aware experience that combined animated artwork, clear venue information, reservation functionality, social links and SEO foundations to support both brand storytelling and discovery. This kind of work is most closely aligned with custom WordPress development, technical SEO and ongoing support for hospitality brands.
The challenge
The venue’s identity was rich with atmosphere and narrative, which meant a generic hospitality landing page would not have been enough. The website needed to feel like an extension of the venue while still making practical information easy to find and interactions easy to complete.
The site needed to reflect the whimsical and immersive personality of the venue.
Key information had to stay easy to access despite the highly visual presentation.
Reservations and enquiries needed to be simple and friction-free.
The page needed SEO support so users could discover the venue more easily online.
What was delivered
I worked from Silvia Porcu’s design direction to build a landing page that brought the brand’s adventurous tone into a digital format. The implementation focused on visual impact, clear information design, booking support and stronger discoverability.
The landing page opens with visually striking artwork designed to reflect the bar’s world and atmosphere.
Important details are organised clearly so visitors can find what they need quickly.
Visitors can move from discovery to booking without leaving the experience.
Social links and direct email routes make the brand easier to engage with.
Search-focused improvements support better visibility for relevant hospitality queries.
The final build stayed aligned with the venue’s tone while preserving usability.
Core functionality included
A visually distinctive front-end experience tailored to the venue’s storytelling.
Motion and illustration help set tone and create a memorable first impression.
Practical information is easy to browse and understand.
Users can book directly through the site with less friction.
Visitors can connect with the venue across other digital channels.
Important email contact points help support guest enquiries.
The page is better positioned to rank for relevant search terms.
The experience reflects the venue’s tone rather than feeling like a generic template.
Key architecture decisions
One of the key decisions was treating the landing page as both a branding tool and a conversion tool. The visual presentation needed to pull visitors into the world of the venue, but the structure also needed to support clear actions like booking, browsing details and getting in touch.
That meant building the page around a careful balance of atmosphere, clarity and performance, while supporting long-term discoverability through SEO-focused implementation rather than relying on design alone.
The development respected the creative direction without compromising usability.
Booking and enquiry actions are integrated naturally into the page flow.
SEO was built into the page to improve discoverability from launch.
The experience supports both inspiration and immediate practical action.
Results and outcomes
The result was a landing page that captured the spirit of Mr Fogg’s House of Botanicals while still functioning as a practical hospitality website. Visitors are welcomed into a more immersive brand experience, while the venue benefits from clearer booking routes, stronger discoverability and a more polished digital presence.
The site communicates the venue’s atmosphere immediately through visual storytelling.
Reservation functionality helps convert visitor interest into action.
Contact and venue details are easier to access and understand.
Social and direct contact links create more ways for visitors to connect with the brand.
SEO improvements make the venue easier to discover online.
The website feels more like part of the venue experience than a separate generic page.
Technology used
The project combined custom front-end development, animated visual implementation, reservation form integration, SEO optimisation and design-led landing page delivery tailored to a premium hospitality brand.
This work is especially relevant to custom WordPress development, technical SEO and support and maintenance for hospitality landing pages.
Next steps
This project shows how a hospitality landing page can do more than present information. With the right balance of visual storytelling, usability and conversion support, it can become part of the venue experience itself while still driving bookings and discovery.
If you need a design-led hospitality website, a conversion-focused landing page or ongoing support for a brand-led digital presence, the most relevant starting points are usually custom WordPress development, support and maintenance and technical SEO foundations.
